NPP chair accuses Ursula of being insincere

The Chairman of the Ablekuma West Constituency of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) has accused Hon. Ursula Owusu-Ekuful of being hypocritical in her call for Greater Accra Regional Executives of the party to be voted out due to their failure to support Parliamentary Candidates in the region.

According to Theophilus Tettey, the Ablekuma West MP should not ‘pretend to be holier than the Pope’ by attempting to blame the Regional Executives for the woes of the party in the Greater Accra Region because some of her actions and inactions lead to the defeat of the party in the region.

He revealed that in the heat of the campaign leading to the 2012 general elections, the party’s resources in the region were over stretched in the constituency and a request was made to Hon. Owusu-Ekuful for a pick-up truck in order to facilitate the activities of the party in the Constituency, but she blatantly refused to release any in spite of the fact she was in procession of five at the time.

“…she did not give us the cars for party activities despite the fact that she had five of them. How can she turn around and accuse everyone of the party’s performance in the region during the last elections but herself” he told Adakabre Frimpong Manso on NEAT FM.

Theophilus Tettey made this revelation in reaction to a call by Mrs. Ursula Owusu-Ekuful for all current Regional Executives to be voted out to pave the way for new and vibrant ones.

The NPP MP was appalled by the way and manner in which party activities were run in the region and further blamed them for the misfortune of the party. She therefore charged party faithful in Greater Accra to vote out all the current executives and bring in vibrant and proactive people who have what it takes to lead the NPP to victory in 2016.
