NPP Canada wishes to congratulate the President-Elect, H.E. Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo and the Vice President-Elect, H.E. Alhaji Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, for winning the December 7, 2016 Presidential Elections. It is a privilege to our party that the good people of Ghana have given you a clear and decisive mandate to lead our country.
We also wish to congratulate all the Parliamentary Candidates of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) who were elected to Parliament. We believe that a NPP led Parliament will serve to promote the best interests of our people, to ensure transparency and accountability in government.
We would also like to take this opportunity to commend the President of the Republic, H.E. John Dramani Mahama and his government, the Electoral Commission, the Security Services, all the political parties and candidates who took part in the election, for their role in ensuring a peaceful Election.
NPP Canada recognizes that the President-Elect; H.E. Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo- Addo will take office at the time our country is experiencing significant economic and social stagnation. Nevertheless, we believe that he has a track record of principled leadership, which is certain to continue in his leadership to transform the economy and give hope to the people.
