NPP Canada Calls for Calm and Respect for Party Structures

November 5, 2015

NPP Canada’s Branch Executive Committee hereby wishes to reiterate the supremacy of the Party’s constitutionally mandated Structures and call upon all Supporters to respect these Structures to undertake their sworn duties in an objective and prudent manner. We ask Supporters to desist from following any leaders engaged in open challenge to these Party Structures.

It is worth noting that three previous National Chairpersons all had occasions to be invited by and, indeed, avail themselves to the Committee. Indeed, in 2005, following a recommendation by the Disciplinary Committee, the then National Chairman was suspended by the National Executive Committee of the Party, for various constitutional violations.

We advise NPP Supporters to remain calm and trust in the capabilities of the Party’s Structures to deal with the cases before them, in a peaceful, collaborative and respectful fashion. We believe that the Party will come out of this situation, more united and ready for the critical 2016 elections.

Yours Sincerely,

—Signed—
Prince Ofosu Sefah.
Branch Secretary, NPP-Canada.
