NPP calls for peaceful succession to Sou skin

Mr Daniel Bugri Naabu, Northern Regional Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) has appealed to Kingmakers of the Mamprugu Traditional Area to ensure a peaceful process in the selection of a successor to Sou skin in the Yagba-Kubori district.

Mr Naabu made the appeal when he represented the running mate and flagbearer of the NPP to mark the one week observance of the passing of the Sou Paramount Chief, Naa Zulum Nasagri in the Yagba-Kubori District.

He told the family members to ensure that the selection of the successor or heir to the throne is done without acrimony.

Mr Naabu said the late Naa Zulum was an astute traditional ruler whose reign was successful.

He said as a very important ruler, he has left a big vacuum in the Sou traditional area and expressed the hope that a good successor would be found to continue the wonderful works.

Mr Naabu, who led a delegation of the NPP including regional executives and some Members of Parliament, donated assorted drinks, two bags of maize and GH? 1,200.
