NPP Calls For Debate With NDC

The National Organiser of the New Patriotic Party, Lord Commey has dared the NDC leadership to come out confidently and debate him on issues they raised during their ”March for Survival” demonstration. He made the call soon after congratulating the NDC for a peaceful demonstration.

Mr Commey told the ”Free Press” that the NDC will not waste its time on counter-demonstration but will prefer a one-on-one debate on all messages that the NDC carried on their placards.

He noted that the March indeed reflects the impact of the positive change in Ghana’s democracy since it enabled members of the NDC, an opposition party to air their views.

Some of the placards carried by the NDC supporters during the demonstration read: ”Where is the Positive Change”, ”Where are the jobs you promised us”, ”Who Killed the Ya Na”, ”NPP –Terror Government”, ”Do Not Betray Workers”, “NPP Golden Age Of Corruption”; “Sahara Deal and IFC Are Financial Loss To The State”; “We Can No Longer Bite The Bullet”; “Broken Promises Galore 2004”; “Kufuor Prosecute Your Government Too”; “NRC Is NPP Tool” and “Kufuor’s Government, Government of Disasters”.
