NPP aspiring candidates told not to use provocative language

Abuakwa (Ash), July 22, GNA – Mr Joseph Akintola Amankwaah, a former assemblyman for Mpasaso Number Two in the Ahafo-Ano South District, has advised aspiring New Patriotic Party (NPP) parliamentary candidates to conduct their campaigns for the primaries devoid of provocative language.

Speaking to the GNA on Wednesday, he said it was regrettable that some chiefs and constituency chairmen were acting as front men for some of the candidates.

He said the situation had heightened tension in some parts of the constituencies. He, therefore, called on those chiefs to desist from that practice.

Mr Amankwaah also advised the candidates not to make vain promises but rather tell the electorates what they could practically do to win their confidence.
