NPP are fascist, intolerant people – Chuck Wayo

Founder of the United Renaissance Party (URP), Charles Kofi Wayo has endorsed the candidature of President Mahama describing him as the best man for the presidency.

Mr. Kofi Wayo was unable to file to contest next week’s elections but says he trusts President Mahama to deliver if retained.

Kofi Wayo made the endorsement when he addressed the media in the Bono Ahafo Region.

He said “I am campaigning a little bit for John Mahama. I like John Mahama because when I look at NPP, they are fascist, they are intolerant people. We don’t need that in Ghana.”

He said people cannot victimize the kind just because they do not agree on issues, adding “you all see the violence of the NPP. It goes back.”

Kofi Wayo said, unlike President Mahama who took it lightly when his entry into Kyebi was greeted with some disagreements between supporters of the NPP and the NDC, he would have responded with massive force.

He slammed the NPP for selling the Ghana Airways and the Ghana Telecom and described the party as one that only sells the country to the highest bidder.

Mr Wayo however clarified that he is not in an alliance with the NDC as a party but rather with President John Mahama

Meanwhile, a group of journalists in the Ashanti Region is advising Ghanaians not to be deceived by the main opposition NPP’s proposed free Senior High School policy.

The policy championed by Nana Akufo-Addo is to make education easily accessible to ordinary Ghanaians up to the senior high level.

But Journalist for Truth has said in a statement that there is the need to improve school infrastructure before making education free.

Its National Co-ordinator Prince Ohene Koranteng told XYZ NEWS the NPP’s free SHS policy is misplaced.
