NPP agents volunteer to harvest Amoateng’s farm

Busunya (B/A), Jan. 26, GNA – About 300 party agents of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) within Nkoranza North Constituency have decided to harvest the 300 hectare maize farm belonging to Mr. Eric Amoateng, Member of Parliament arrested in the United States of America for allegedly dealing in narcotic drugs.

The agents are from Busunya, Kranka, Yefri, Fiema, Dromankese and Manso.

Mr. Simon Ameyaw, Constituency organiser of the party told Ghana News Agency at Busunya that the decision was to help prevent the farm from being destroyed by bushfires and going waste. He said, “Mr. Amoateng is a philanthropist who is always ready to assist individuals and communities” and they appreciated his efforts.

Mr Ameyaw said it would take the agents about 31 weeks to complete the work on the farm, and commended the youth for their love to the MP and urged them to continue to exhibit such selfless service. He appealed to the youth within the Constituency to join the agents to work on the farm.

In appreciation for their voluntarism, Nana Kwadwo Seinti, Brong Ahafo Regional Minister and Mr. James Kwabena Appiah-Awuah, Nkoranza District Chief Executive jointly donated two bags of rice to them.
