NPP activists urged to explain government policies to the people

Akyem Etwereso (E/R), Jan. 14, GNA – Mr David Oppon-Kusi, Member of Parliament for Ofoase/Ayirebi, at the weekend urged supporters of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) to propagate the laudable achievements of the government to the people, especially those in rural communities. He advised them to be in a position to counteract negative propaganda by opponents of the government that they had not seen any positive achievement of the government.

“Tell them you have seen Capitation Grant, School Feeding Programme, Mass Cocoa Spraying Exercise and National Health Insurance Scheme (NHIS) among others”.

Mr Oppon-Kusi, who was interacting with polling station executive of the Akyem Etwereso and Akyem Adubiase zones at separate functions, said the success of the NPP in the December polls depended on their hard work. He advised them to adopt a good campaign strategy to reach out to people to be able to woo more floating voters and even their political opponents into their fold.

Mr Oppon-Kusi assured the executive that the necessary logistics to enhance them in their campaign would be provided them and urged them to be committed and loyal to the party at all times. Mr Eric Osei Ansere, Ofoase/Ayirebi Constituency chairman of the NPP, advised the executive not to play the tribal card during their campaign, reminding them that even though Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, the Presidential candidate of the party is an Akyem, he is for the whole nation and they should therefore be mindful in their utterances.
