NPP activist poisoned at Ayensuano

One of the main opponents to the DCE nominee of Ayensuano in the Eastern region has allegedly died of food poisoning, family sources have told Starr News.

The deceased, Emmanuel Koranteng, popularly Known as Otega, was a polling station executive of the NPP during the 2016 elections.

The late Koranteng was scheduled to organize a press conference in protest of the DCE-nominee today Sunday, April 30,2017.

According to family sources, the deceased complained of a sudden stomach ache Saturday and vomited different colours of fluids, and eventually passed away after he was rushed to the hospital.

The family source said an autopsy report has confirmed that the deceased was poisoned.

The Member of Parliament for Ayensuano and some NPP constituency executives on Saturday visited the bereaved family to sympathized with them.

The body of the deceased has been deposited at Omenako Mortuary near Suhum.
