NPP activist commends party members

Wenchi (B/A), May 8, GNA – Hajia Kuffour-Banda, an activist of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) has congratulated members of the party at Wenchi for conducting a peaceful election of new constituency executives.

Hajia Kuffour-Banda, a citizen of Wenchi and former women’s organiser of the party at Moshie Zongo in Kumasi in the Ashanti Region was interacting with Madam Rosemary Adade, NPP Women’s Organiser at Wenchi. She urged members of the party to rally behind the executives and offer advice that would guide them to lead the party to a resounding victory in the 2008 general election.

The activist advised the youth in the party to be disciplined and to avoid practices and attitudes that could create problems for themselves and the party.

Hajia Kuffour-Banda called on the citizenry of Wenchi to bury their political differences and support the District Chief Executive, Madam Bintu Ibrahim Farizana to propel the development of the area.

Madam Adade expressed gratitude to party members for the smooth elections and pledged that the executives would also redouble efforts to move the party forward.

She urged the NPP zonal women organizers to interact with women in their areas to educate them on government policies. The women’s organiser asked NPP members not to shun the company of members of other parties but to share ideas with them and try woo them into the party as the NPP was determined to win more members for a resounding victory in 2008.

Madam Adade urged zonal organizers to take a census of NPP members in their areas and to find out their challenges so they could be addressed.

“The executives will not draw lines among members but will listen to their views to ensure the success of the party”, she added.
