NPP activist calls on members to close their ranks

Kumasi, Jan. 20, GNA – Mrs. Selina Otuo-Tuffour, a leading member of the Ayeduase Ward of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), has underscored the need for leaders and supporters of the Party to close their ranks and unite as they carried out strategies to bring the party back to power.

She said, it was not easy to be in the opposition and that the NPP will find it difficult to come back to power if they remained divided. Mrs. Otuo-Tuffour was speaking to the Ghana News Agency in Kumasi on Tuesday.

The NPP activist expressed concern that some members in the party had started struggling for various positions particularly as to who should become the next presidential candidate for the 2012 general elections.

Mrs. Otuo-Tuffour announced that the ward executives were working feverishly to build on their internal structures to make the NPP formidable in retaining the Oforikrom parliamentary seat. She advised members to continue to be supportive of the party’s activities to increase their membership.
