NPP accuses NDC of distributing 600,000 illegal voter ID cards prior to polls

Ahead of tomorrow’s crucial polls, the NPP has accused the NDC of conniving with the Electoral Commission to issue out some 600,000 illegal voter ID cards.

Addressing the media, campaign Chair for the NPP, Peter Mac Nanu alleged that the NDC is making frantic efforts to rig the elections by issuing out illegal voter’s ID cards in a bid to win the elections tomorrow.

He also raised concerns over what he said is the movement of military equipment including 250 G3 rifles by the IGP across the country ahead of the elections to intimidate people and get them to vote for the NDC.

Speaking in an interview with Joynews however, National Organizer of the NDC, Kofi Adams denied these allegations saying this is a desperate move by the NPP to come back at the NDC. According to him, the NDC exposed the NPP’s efforts to rig the 2016 elections, adding that this is only a backlash by the NPP over yesterday’s expose.
