November 2 is not a Public Holiday

The Ministry of the Interior on Monday stated that November 2, which would be used for the observation of this year’s National Farmers Day, is not a public holiday.

A statement issued to the Ghana News Agency in Accra signed by Mr William Kwasi Aboah, the Minister, said the statutory Farmers Day holiday, which is Friday December 7, remains the public holiday to be observed.

This year’s farmers day celebration is scheduled to take place on Friday November 2 at Abokobi in the Ga East Municipality of the Greater Accra Region, on the theme: “Grow more food: Strengthening Farmer Based Organisations for Market Place Bargaining Power.”
