Notorious armed robber and seven juveniles arrested at Agona Swedru

Abdul Salam an alleged notorious armed robber and narcotic dealer on the wanted list of the Agona Swedru Divisional Police Command for more than a year, has been arrested.

He was arrested by members of the neighborhood Watch Committee at Agona Swedru in the Central Region.

Three others who were also arrested by the Committee are Ebo Adeantwi , Kwesi Alhaji and Charles Quansah.

In the swoop, seven juveniles were also rounded up in the house of the alleged narcotic dealer.

A source close to the Police Command told Ghana News Agency at Swedru that Salam was declared wanted for his illicit narcotic deals and armed robbery at Agona Swedru.

According to the source the members of neighborhood watch committee invaded the house of the Abdul Salam at 0200 hours on Thursday November 29, and arrested him.

Salam and his accomplices allegedly rob people at Agona Nyakrom, Agona Swedru, Kasoa and other areas

The source said the Police in their efforts to apprehend him, alerted members of the neighborhood watch committee.

The suspects have been sent to Cape Coast Regional Police Command for further investigations.
