Nothing makes sense in Ghana any more – Kwesi Pratt

Kwesi Pratt has observed nothing in the day to day discussion of national issues in Ghana makes sense anymore unless it is situated within partisan politics.

The Editor of the Insight Newspaper said it is exceedingly worrying that every discussion on growth and development of Ghana have to be placed in the context of NPP and NDC.

The CEO of COCOBOD, Joseph Boahen Aidoo has in a news conference accused former president Mahama of initiating the construction of a guest house in his hometown Bole for his personal comfort from the COCOBOD account during his term of office.

“…..For instance, to construct a guest house at Bole in the Northern Region, which was needless at the time it was awarded. President John Mahama was said to have influenced the awarding to enable him to enjoy a comfortable holiday during his visit to his constituency.” He said.

However, in a press release, the office of former President stated that the ‘Cocoa Research Institute of Ghana, Research Station Guesthouse has been in existence since 1975 and could not have possibly been constructed during his tenure.

Commenting on the allegation by the CEO of COCOBOD, Kwesi Pratt said these are needless allegations from the new boss of COCOBOD.

According to him, it is sickening and unbelievable how every simple fault is been attributed to former President Mahama reducing every discussion to partisan politics.

He concluded that for someone to understand anything done in the country, a politica twist has to be given, a situation hindering the development of the country.
