Norwegian Youth delegation to visit New Juaben

Koforidua, Sept. 23, GNA- A three-member delegation from Norway is to pay a working visit to 4-H Ghana, a youth development Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) based in the New Juaben Municipality from October 6 to 16,this year.

The visit is to assess the implementation of the 4-H youth development ideals in Ghana and based on that establish co-operation to provide technical and logistical support to the 4-H Ghana youth development organization.

This was contained in a release by the Executive Director of the 4-H Ghana, Mr. Appiah Kwaku Boateng, at Koforidua on Monday. Giving the background of the organization, he said the 4-H which symbolizes HEAD-HEART-HANDS-HEALTH started in the USA in the 1990’s with the focus on involving young rural people in the matters of agriculture, countryside life, home and the family.

He noted that the delegation would include the head of the Norwegian 4-H and two others and involves visiting of 4-H Ghana branches in schools and communities, meeting with some political heads, a concert show and many others.

The 4-H NGO is a project based youth organization with its motto; “Learning by doing” and exist in over forty countries worldwide.
