Northerners Urged to Practice The Culture of Tolerance

Mohammed Ali-Idris the North American NPP’s Chairman, has called on the Ghanaians of the Northern Region to practice the culture of tolerance, since that will help to calm the political tension, speaking at the well attended general meeting of Northerners in the Northern America Association of the Washington D.C. Metropolitan Area this weekend.

“Contribute your personal quota towards the effective development, by financial or other means to accelerate the progress and supplement the efforts of NPP Government, because a good citizen asks what he can do for his country, not what his country can do for him,” the Chairman of the NPP North America noted.

He said that despite the government’s determination to raise the living standard of Ghanaians, it will be worthy and prudent for those in Diaspora to assist, and explain fully that some Northern parts of Ghana would benefit from the Millennium Challenge Accounts (MCA) that Ghana benefited of $547 million towards Agriculture, Education, Hospitals, and Roads.

Alhaji Issaka Zira, President of the Northern Region Leadership Group of the NPP in North America urged the members to remain worth of their citizenry at all times, and encourage them to acquaint themselves with the progress in their various towns and villages.

He advised the members to invest in Agriculture and housing projects in their localities and call on families back home to fight poverty and also would do well to send their girl children to school.

The President of the Northerners in the North America Association (NINA) Yakubu Imoro Ayama that gives firm assurance that his outfit will contribute as usual by donating their used clothes and books to be sent home to the needy and brilliant but poor students to some areas in the Northern Region,

“Donations will be collected from the members and members will be urged to contribute generously to uplifting of the poor standard of education and “Allah will bless you while showing mercy to the weaker hands,” Yakubu Imoro Ayama said
