Authorities at the Shakhina Psychiatric Hospital have appealed to government and nongovernmental organizations (NGO’s) to quickly come to their aid before the health facility finally collapses.
Our reporter Kwabena Ntow, in a live interview on Peace FM’s mid day news reported that the health facility as it stood now, is in a dilapidated state and served as the only rehabilitation center in the whole of Northern Region.
As a result of the fiasco, the authorities at the hospital which is located at Tamale insist they could no longer accommodate the sick since working at the rehab center had become a monster home.
