Northern region NADMO secretariat appeals for donations

The Northern Regional Secretariat of the National Disaster Management Organisation (NADMO) has made passionate appeal to philanthropists for donations to support victims of severe rainstorms that hit a number of districts in the area.

Hundreds of people in the Tamale Metropolis including Yendi Municipality, Gushegu and the Savelugu/Nantong Districts were rendered homeless by severe rainstorms.

The victims are still counting their losses and NADMO is yet to respond adequately to their needs.

Speaking to Citi News, Northern Regional NADMO Coordinator, Alhaji Abdulai Silimboma, said, “We have distributed the small consignment of relief items we received from the headquarters but we need more support from philanthropists to be able to cover everybody.”
