Northern police hunt for affordable housing project thieves

The Northern Regional Police Command has mounted a search for some alleged thieves who raided the abandoned affordable housing project at Wamale and stole building materials.

A Kia truck with registration number AS2363Y was impounded during an attempt to load some of the building materials at the site.

The occupants of the said Kia truck took to their heels when a vigilante team accosted them.

Public Relations Officer for the Northern Regional Police Command, ASP Ebenezer Tetteh told Citi FM investigations were ongoing to apprehend the occupants of the Kia truck.

ASP Ebenezer Tetteh urged the locals to volunteer information to the police to enable them flush out such miscreants in society.
