NOOR Group sets up children’s centre

Wa, April 23, GNA – NOOR GROUP, a Norwegian non-governmental organisation, has established a children’s centre at Wa to serve as a learning and pre-school educational facility for children of poor families in the Wa Municipality.

The organisation on Saturday presented computers and television sets valued at about 180 million cedis to the centre. Mrs Liv Yussif and Mr Ahmed Yussif, joint executive directors of the project who are based in Norway, pledged to support the centre. Mr Abdul-Rashid Pelpuo, Member of Parliament for the Wa Central, said he was grateful to the NGO for citing the centre in the constituency.

He appealed to the local representatives of the project to be forthright and show transparency in running the centre.
