Non-performing districts to be denied support

Cape Coast, Oct. 20, GNA – The Central Regional Minister, Nana Ato Arthur, has said districts that fail to prepare or complete their Medium Term Development Plans (MTDPs) would not receive financial support from the government.

He said some districts in the region were not committed to the preparation of these plans and had done very little to complete the document.

Nana Arthur said this when district chief executives, their coordinating directors and planning and budget officers presented the drafts of their MTDPs for 2006/2009 at a day’s workshop at Cape Coast. He spoke about the importance of the plans and said they could enable them to plan and execute projects systematically.
