Noguchi Centre tests another suspected Ebola case

Peacefmonline.com can confirm that Ghana is currently investigating another suspected case of Ebola, further heightening the fear that the contagious viral hemorrhagic fever is spreading in West Africa.

The suspected Ebola patient, a Senegalese, was in Kumasi over the weekend to attend a funeral when he suddenly took ill, and his temperature reached record levels.

He was first admitted at the Tech Hospital, where he showed initial symptoms of the deadly Ebola virus.

Authorities at the hospital are tight-lipped over the issue, but Peacefmonline investigations reveal, blood samples of the patient have been sent to the Noguchi Memorial institute for further tests.

Meanwhile, all health workers (who were in direct contact with the patient) as well as the patient, have reportedly been quarantined.
