NOBISCO 1991 year group donates sports kits to Alma matter

The 1991 old students group of the Northern School of Business (NOBISCO) in the northern region has donated assorted sports kits worth over Twenty Thousand Ghana cedis (GH¢20,000) to their alma mater. The donation is part of the 1991 old student group’s contribution to promote athletics in the school.

The items includes; two sets of tennis tables, 60 running vests; 30 each for males and females, 2 set of football jerseys, 14 pairs of football boots and 15 pairs of hoses. The rest are 3 basketballs, 6 whistles, 2 javelins, 1 volleyball net, 8 stop watches and 6 footballs.

The leader of the 1991 old students group of the Northern School of Business, Mr. Ibrahim Alaasan Abaaba who led the group to present the items to the school said they choose this benevolent path, knowing right from the bottom of their heart that it is the right thing to do because they still remember how challenging the conditions were when they were in the school.

He stated that it has always been their desire to ensure that the current students of their Alma matter get to enjoy better and modern facilities that they had.

Mr. Alaasan Abaaba however expressed the hope that school authorities as well as the students will take good care of the kits and used them to win more trophies and laureates for the school.

This, he said will make the 1991 old students group proud and consider their efforts as being rewarded than to see the school excel in inter-school sports competitions and even go further to produce national champions.

He however assured authorities of the school that the donation marks the beginning of more engagement and collaboration with the school.

Mr. Alaasan Abaaba also touted NORBISCO as one of the best second cycle institutions in the world which every old student should be proud of.

The Headmaster of the school, Nuhu Inusah, commended the 1991 old student group for the kind gesture and call on other year groups to endeavor to emulate the gesture.
