No salary for public workers in 2017 if Mahama wins again – NPP MP

Dr. Mathew Opoku Prempeh a Lawmaker for the Manhyia South Constituency has warned that Ghanaian workers will work for three continuous months without salary in 2017 if they are impervious to advise and go ahead to vote for President John Dramani Mahama.

He predicted that the country will witness the worse forms of job cuts leading to several job losses involving public servants using the current state of the Ghanaian economy as the base.

“Ghanaian workers will live and work for three months without salary I am telling you on authority. Several persons will also be sacked from employment at the various Ministries, Departments and Agencies (MDAs) in 2017”, he disclosed on Abusua Nkomo hosted by Kwame Adinkra.

According to him, the Ghanaian economy is at the brink of collapse and until the president at the helm of affairs is changed, Ghanaians should brace themselves for tougher times after the December 7 polls.

“The continuity of John Mahama will mean a continuity of suffering. We are currently buying cheap power from Ivory Coast compared to the power plants we have imported into the country which are supposed to generated cheaper power”, he revealed.

He reiterated that it will be disastrous for Ghanaians to allow Mahama and the National Democratic Congress (NDC) to govern the country for the next four years. Napo as affectionately called said the only hope to remedy the situation is for the New Patriotic Party (NPP) and Nana Addo Dankwah Akufo-Addo to be voted for in order to go back to the World Bank for renegotiations of loans to salvage the ailing Ghanaian economy.

“Nana Addo as the country’s president can go to plead and tell them he did not contract such loans and therefore they should pave the way for renegotiations to save the collapsing economy”, he added.
