No one should take credit for NPP’s victory – SK Boafo

A Former Minister in charge of Chieftaincy Mr Samson Kwaku Boafo, has stated that no one must take credit for the New Patriotic Party’s (NPP’s) electoral victory at the just ended polls.

Even though, he admits all pointers revealed the party was going to win the elections, it was surprising with the vote margin the President-elect Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo beat the incumbent John Dramani Mahama.

He believes the victory was the handy work of God who wanted to save Ghanaians from the economic challenges indicating that he did not believe it himself until he started receiving congratulatory phone calls from team members.

“The victory is beyond the imagination of man and no one should take credit for it. God works through men and I know he gave direction to men to secure this victory”, he explained on the Ultimate Breakfast Show hosted by Lantam Papanko.

Mr Boafo said Ghanaians were fed up with the Mahama-led administration considering the unbearable economic conditions which is why they were yearning for change and opted for the NPP led by Nana Addo.

While observing that various functionaries within the party worked hard for the victory, he reiterated that it was crowned by God who is the supreme kingmaker.
