No land for Mahama’s free SHS in Accra – NDC Organizer

The Greater Accra Regional Organiser of the National Democratic Congress(NDC), Anthony Nukpenu, has explained that many of the Community Senior High Schools for the Greater Accra Region have not been completed due to the unavailability of land.

The Greater Accra Region was allotted 13 community Senior High Schools out of the 200 promised nationally.

So far, only three of the schools have fully been completed and inaugurated while two others are on the verge of completion.

Speaking to Atinka News Thursday, Nukepnu explained that, the issue of land is affecting the projects, pointing out that some chiefs are not ready to release their lands for the schools.

According to him, all the remaining eight projects will take off once lands are made available to the government .

Nukpenu gave the assurance that the projects will surely be completely in the second term of John Dramani Mahama.

The government claims that it has so far completed about 123 SHSs across the country. However, some Ghanaians have challenged the figure, asking the government to provide evidence.
