No Christian or Muslim intellectual will vote for NDC – Stephen Amoah

The Chief Executive Officer of the Microfinance and Small Loans Centre (MASLOC) Stephen Amoah has questioned the religious integrity of any intellectual who is sympathetic to the course of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC).

The former Ashanti Regional organiser of the New Patriotic Party made the sharp assertion speaking at the induction service of new members joining the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology chapter of the Tertiary Education Students Confederacy (TESCON).

Mr Amoah insisted, “Any literate who is a Christian or a Muslim and the person votes for NDC, personally I doubt the God he is serving.”

According to the MASLOC boss, it is a sacrilege for anyone to support what he calls a party which has failed on all standards of development and politics in the country.

He explained, “Politics is not about tribe, politics is not about your own interest. It is about truth, things that will make sure that as a people, we can co-exist in peace, in harmony, in riches, how can we be protected, how can we have security and safety, how can we have food, how can we live with one another, how can we have good education, how can we have potable water to drink; that is the essence of politics.”

“So why do you choose to follow and support a party that you know by all standards are underperforming and you call yourself a Christian or a Muslim simply because you are an Ashanti, Ewe, Ga, Frafra? You are not a good Christian. You are not a good Muslim.” He fumed.

Mr Amoah added that some members and communicators of the NDC only mount the media space to demonstrate their “unconscious incompetence and ‘intellectual dishonesty” and charged the members of TESCON to be diligent in doing their own research to counter the submissions of the opposition.
