Ghana’s Minister for Sports and Recreation, Kofi Adams, has delivered a stirring message to the Black Stars as they prepare for Monday’s crucial World Cup qualifier against Mali.
Speaking at the team’s camp in Accra, Adams urged the players to believe in themselves and seize the opportunity to bounce back after Thursday’s disappointing 1-1 draw with Chad.
“I know what you’re capable of. There’s no better team than you. You have the talent, the passion, and the opportunity to turn this around,” the Minister told the squad.
The Black Stars currently top Group I but face pressure to maintain their lead as the race for qualification tightens. Monday’s game at the Accra Sports Stadium is expected to draw a large home crowd eager to see a strong response.
Adams’ words were meant to inspire unity and resilience, with the government reaffirming its backing for the team’s push towards a fifth World Cup appearance.
