NMC asks GBC Board to recall Director-General

Accra, Nov. 5, GNA – The National Media Commission (NMC) has asked the Board of Directors of the Ghana Broadcasting Corporation (GBC) to recall the Director-General, Mr William Ampem-Darko, to resume duty immediately. A letter to the Board Chairman signed by the NMC chairman, Mr Paul Adu-Gyamfi, said the Deputy Director-General, Mr Kwabena Sarpong Anane, who was acting while Mr Ampem-Darko was on leave, was to hand over to the Director-General immediately.

“Furthermore, you are kindly requested to brief the National Media Commission in matters going on at GBC within 48 hours,” the letter, which was copied to Mr Ampem-Darko and Mr Sarpong Anane, said.
