NLC gives teachers, Fair Wages seven days to resolve impasse

The National Labour Commission (NLC) has given teachers seven days to resolve their grievances with the Fair Wages and Salary Commission and report to the Labour Commission.

The directive came after a meeting organised at the behest of the NLC with the leaders of the teacher unions and Fair Wages and Salaries Commission attending.

The meeting was to address the impasse which has culminated into the teachers declaring a strike for two days now.

The NLC also directed the teachers to call off the strike as they begin the seven-day discussion with the Fair Wages.
