Nkwanta DCD burgled in broad daylight

Nkwanta (V/R), April 26, GNA- Thieves broke into the house of Mr Mathias Nugborlo, Nkwanta District Coordinating Director (DCD) in broad daylight and stole three million cedis cash.

The incident was said to have occurred at around 1330 hours while Mr Nugborlo was at work.

A source at the District Assembly told the Ghana News Agency (GNA) that the thieves got access to the DCD’s room through the bathhouse after destroying the wire mesh, gauze and then removed the louver blades.

Mr Hayford Kwawu Asempa, Inspector in charge of crime at the Nkwanta Police Station confirmed the story when contacted. He said no arrests had been made so far and that investigations were on going.

Mr Nugborlo was not available for comment.
