Nkoranza NDC congratulates Odododiodoo

Nkoranza (B/A), Sept. 11, GNA – The executive members of the Nkoranza South Constituency of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) have commended the party members and supporters in the Odododiodoo constituency of Accra for their commitment and hard work to win the just-ended bye-election to enable the party to retain the parliamentary seat for the constituency.

Mr. Owusu Baffoe, Constituency chairman said the victory of NDC in the election has confirmed that, members of the party have never relented in their efforts to rally behind the party and that they are still committed to serve the NDC.

He stressed that all leaders of the party should wake up and organise their members and ensure that they stand firm behind the party and vote massively for NDC to emerge victorious during the 2008 general elections.

Mr. Baffoe advised executive members of the Nkoranza South and North constituencies to learn from the shinning examples of the members of Odododioodoo constituency and unite party members to stem divisive tendencies

The NDC Constituency chairman also stressed the need for the youth of the party to be law-abiding and respect people in authority in order that they would not involve themselves in any negative practices that could create problems for them.

Mr. Baffoe wished the NDC MP for Odododiodoo Nii Tackie Kommey God’s blessings, good luck and success in all his endeavours in order that he would be able to serve the people to their expectations and to maintain the trust and confidence they have in him.

The constituency Secretary, Mr. Thomas Owusu-Ansah urged the Zonal Secretaries of the party to start checking the names of their members and ensure their whereabouts so that they could meet them to plan programmes that would promote the growth of the party. Mr. Owusu-Ansah stressed the need for them to organise meetings with the members to keep them abreast with party programmes and remain faithful and committed to serve the party to ensure victory in the 2008 general elections.

The party’s youth should be self-disciplined in their respective communities and shun chieftaincy disputes and political violence in order not to put the party’s name into disrepute. Mr. Owusu-Ansah urged the leaders of the party serving in the zonal centers to visit the constituencies offices regularly to give reports on their activities as that would enable them to initiate strategies to organise themselves to regain the mandate to serve Ghanaians, come 2008.
