Nkawie holds Jubilee baby show

Nkawie (Ash) Oct. 3, GNA – The Atwima Nwabiagya District Directorate of the Health Services registered 86.6 per cent antenatal cases in 2006. Out of the number 42.9 per cent delivered at the health facilities, 55.3 per cent received postnatal care while 13.9 per cent received family planning service.

Miss Beatrice Appah, District Director of Health Services, said this at a jubilee baby show at Nkawie that was on the theme “Children our Assets in this Jubilee Year, Father’s Investment”. Miss Appah said a look at some collapsing mutual health insurance schemes revealed that huge claims were paid for curative health and that the situation was exerting pressure on the national health insurance scheme.
