Nine suspected narcotic peddlers arrested at Tsito

Ho, June 23, GNA – Nine suspected narcotic peddlers including a woman were last weekend arrested by the Police at Tsito near Ho. They were, Selorm Kokroko, Eric Dzakpah, Kete Asiome, Lebi Yao and Evans Bediako. The rest were, Siamah Kwabla, Ernest Afare, Ernest Kofi Kennedy and Happy Adede, the woman.

Police Inspector Joy Afagbedzi, Public Relations Officer of the Volta Regional Police Directorate told the Ghana News Agency at Ho that the police mounted a swoop on their hideout upon a tip-off. He said during a search the police found a wrapper of dried leaves suspected to be Indian hemp. Police Inspector Afagbedzi said a quantity of white substance suspected to be cocaine was also found with the suspects. He said they would be prosecuted after police investigations.
