Nine police officers could not vote in the special voting at Half Assini

Nine police personnel could not vote in the special voting for security officers in the Jomoro District.

This is because their names could not be found in the voters’ register at the polling station at the District Administrative Block.

Mr Michael Kwofie, Presiding Officer at the polling station, disclosed this to the Ghana News Agency in an interview at Half Assini on Tuesday.

According to him, 269 out the total number of 371 voters have cast their votes when the GNA visited the station at about 1300 hours.

He said the Progressive Peoples Party, New Patriotic Party, Convention People’s Party and the National Democratic Congress have their agents at the Centre.

The Jomoro district Electoral Officer, Mr Kwabena Asante, assured the affected police officers that arrangements were being made for them to cast their vote on Friday, Dec. 7.
