Nine Million Euros of French Aid

Ghana will receive nine million euros (US $8 million) for development projects following the signing of two agreements with France on Friday in Accra, PANA reported.

Under the first agreement, Ghana will get eight million euros for a project to rehabilitate roads, drainage and sewerage in 10 district capitals and secondary towns. A one-million euro grant is for feasibility studies on projects which might be funded in the future by the Agence Francaise de Developpement.

Finance Minister Yaw Osafo-Maafo described the agreement as very important, since money was urgently needed for rural development projects
