Nine incumbents seek re-election in Central Region NPP

Cape Coast, Oct. 24, GNA – Twenty-five people including Mrs Alice Marie Agyeman, Former Headmistress of Holy Child Secondary School, and nine incumbents have filed their nominations to vie for the nine executive positions within the Central Region Branch of the New Patriotic Party (NPP).

The incumbents are Dr Kweku Ghartey, Chairman, Mr Albert Essuman, Regional Secretary and Alhaji Mohamed Gribrine, Regional Organiser. The others are Mrs Gertrude Yeboah, Treasurer, Madam Gladys Nyinaku, Women’s Organiser and Mr Thomas Agyei-Baffoe, Youth Organiser. Mr Essuman told the GNA on Thursday that Mr Emmanuel Dadson, Second Vice-Chairman wants to become First Vice-Chairman; Mr Danquah Smith First Vice-Chairman is vying for the Chairmanship and Paul Annan, Assistant Regional Secretary is contesting for Regional Secretary. The Regional Elections are scheduled for Monday October 30 2005.
