Nigeria needs social and political reforms – Kwesi Pratt

Mr. Kwesi Pratt Jr believes that strong social reforms are needed in Nigeria if the Boko Haram insurgents are to be defeated.

“Boko Haram is not a military problem. Boko Haram has various political and social dimensions. For as long as wealth is concentrated in the hands of foreigners and few people, there will continue to be disgruntlement within the Nigeria society and there will be a huge army of unemployed to be exploited by anybody. Therefore, strong social and political reforms are needed to substantially affect Boko Haram,” Mr. Kwesi Pratt stated.

Mr. Kwesi Pratt added that, the election so far has been the smoothest in recent time – a factor that appears to have played in the outcome.

Opposition leader, General Muhammadu Buhari (Rtd), who has been a head of state under different circumstance three decades ago, closed in on a historic election victory, maintaining an immense lead in the vote count in Nigeria.
