NHIS to take off at Ho by the end of this month

Ho, Sept 15, GNA – Mr Mawuko Tsigbey, the Public Relations Officer of the Ho Municipal Mutual Health Insurance Scheme, on Thursday said the scheme was set to take off this month.

He said negotiations with all hospitals and clinics in the municipality had been finalized and contracts have been signed to enable contributors to the scheme to access the facility. Mr Tsigbey said workshops have been held for pharmacy and drug store operators on the operation of the scheme and their role towards its smooth take off.

He said politicisation of the scheme was still a problem the scheme is struggling with and people telling lies about their ages and number of children they have.
