NHIS not to create hardship for workers – DCE

Akatsi (V/R), Sept 29, GNA – Mr Nicholas Negble, Akatsi District Chief Executive (DCE), said at the weekend that it is not the intention of the government to create hardship for workers by deducting two and half percent of Social Security and National Insurance Trust contribution towards the National Health Insurance Scheme (NHIS).

Addressing the 20th Annual General meeting of the Avenor Rural Bank at Akatsi, Mr. Ngeble said the aim of the government is to ensure easy access to health services and urged Ghanaians to support the scheme. He described the NHIS as the best option and said the apprehensions in the minds of people would be addressed when the scheme goes into full swing.
