NHIS accountant commits suicide in Kintampo

A 45-year-old accountant of the National Health Insurance Authority at Kintampo in the Brong Ahafo region has committed suicide.

The deceased, John Okrah, according to the police, was found hanging in front of an uncompleted building close to his residence Thursday.

The Kintampo North Police commander, Superintendent Owusu Boampong told Starr News preliminary investigations have revealed that the deceased purchased the rope that was used in the act on Wednesday.

“We had information from National Insurance health workers that their accountant has hanged himself. His house was a few meters from where he hanged himself.”

The body has been deposited at the Kintampo Government Hospital Morgue.
