NGOs told the help develop human resource

Tema, April 12, GNA- Madam Akosua Sakyi, an Administrator at the World Vision International (WVI) on Sunday called on non -governmental organisations (NGOs) to work towards the promotion of human resources in communities in which they operate.

She asked the NGOs to undertake education programmes on topical issues to get the public abreast with current events in order to create awareness and make informed choices and decisions.

Madam Sakyi was inaugurating the Ghana Christian Intercessor’s Movement (GCIM), a Christian NGO at Tema.

She said the awareness creation would let the people come out with their potentials so that in their own small way contribute towards the promotion of health and education in communities where they operate. Reverend Owusu Benson, President of the GCIM noted that it was about time all Christians worshipped together as Muslims do in order to do away with differences that occur with formation of new churches. He said if a Muslim, irrespective of his nationality can worship in any mosque then it should be possible for Christians to also worship in any church wherever they might be.

Rev. Benson said the GCIM is aimed at promoting peace and development, champion the cause of human rights, and mobilise funds to assist the poor.
