NGOs to bring US medical and social workers to Ghana

Accra, Aug. 1, GNA – Providence Center for Humanity International (AGYAFIE) and Organisation for International Development (OID), both non-governmental organisation based in New York, would send 30 doctors, nurses and social workers to provide free medical care for rural communities in Ghana.

The team to be led Dr Roy Streete, President of OID, would for the first five days give free intensive medical treatment and dental care in villages around Kumasi.

The team would focus on HIV education, hypertension; diabetes; asthma; teenage pregnancy education relating to HIV/AIDS and women’s health issues.
