NGOs Empower Senior High School Students Thruogh Sports

Beckwith International leadership Development (BILD), an NGO from the United Kingdom in collaboration with International Inspiration (II), a US based development NGO have organised a workshop on KNUST campus to empower the youth especially Senior High School students.
Both organisations aim at touching the lives of young people positively. They also seek to educate people on cultural diversity.
Madam Katherine Frimpong is a Lead Trainer of BILD. In an interview with Focus fm, she opined that, the aim of BILD and II is to nurture talents and help young people to develop their potentials through sporting activities.
As part of the programme Sports Masters and Mistresses in some selected Senior High Schools were coached to become local trainers to help empower their students at their respective institutions.
Madam Felicia Asamoah Dankwah, the Sports Mistress of St. Louis Senior High School also stated that, she has been trained to help empower her students to become responsible people in future. She added that, the organisation will have a strong impact in the lives of its members.
In Ghana, BILD and II started in Accra in some Senior High Schools and gradually spreading its tentacles to different parts of the country.
Senior High Schools in the Ashanti region that participated in the 4-day workshop include Prempeh College, Kumasi Academy, Yaa Asantewaa Girls and St. Louis Senior High school.
