NGO marks May Day with Clean-up

Ho, May 1, GNA-Heart to Heart Foundation, a Ho based Christian non-governmental organization on Tuesday organized a clean up exercise in collaboration with the Jubilee Youth Ministry at the Miracle Life Clinic in Ho to commemorate this year’s May Day.

During the two-hour exercise the group cleared weeds around the Clinic, removed cobwebs and fellowship with patients at the Clinic. Mr. Joseph Akusah, Project Coordinator of Heart to Heart Foundation told the Ghana News Agency that the exercise was to afford members of the group the opportunity to demonstrate love for the sick. He said though the day was supposed to be a holiday, members decided to use the opportunity to encourage the less privileged in society and called on other Christian organizations to always remember the sick in their activities. Mr Akusah congratulated workers for their meritorious work that had

brought the nation this far and urged them not to relent in their good works. He appealed to them to always resort to dialogue when not satisfied with working conditions instead of taking to strike actions for the accelerated development of the country. 01 May 07
