NGO donates equipment to Apam Hospital

Apam, April 26, GNA – The Light of Glory Foundation, a non-governmental organisation (NGO) based in Ghana and the United Kingdom (UK), supported by the Apam Improvement Association, Accra Branch, has presented medical supplies and equipment to the Apam Catholic Hospital.

The procurement and delivery of the equipment worth about 120 million cedis was made possible through a special Christmas Concert by the Foundation in London and cash donations by members of the two Associations.

The Executive Director of the Foundation, Mr Samuel Kow Arthur, presenting the equipment said the donation was to assist health care delivery at the hospital and expressed the hope that other public-spirited persons would emulate the Foundation.

The Senior Medical Officer, Dr Ebenezer Amekah, thanked the donors and gave the assurance that the equipment would be put to good use to benefit the community.

Present at the ceremony were the Chairman and some Executive members of the Apam Citizens Association. 26 April 06
