NGO donates computers to Ashaiman Basic School

Children’s First Foundation, an educational-based non-governmental organisation (NGO), has donated 10 computers, 1,000 exercise books and 1,000 pens worth GH?6,000 to Ashaiman Number 5 Basic School in the Greater Accra Region.

The donation was part of the objectives of the NGO to provide about 500 computers nationwide this year to facilitate the teaching and learning of Information Communication Technology (ICT).

Mr. John Agyei, Deputy Director of the Foundation, told the Ghana News Agency in Accra on Tuesday that the body had plans to put up ICT centre to train unemployed youth free of charge.

The NGO also aims at helping in the development of children in deprived areas through the provision of education facilities and the promotion of their health.**
