Ngmetsokope gets basic school

A GH¢68,180.00 basic school for Ngmetsokope in the Ningo-Prampram District of the Greater Accra Region, has been inaugurated with the supply of 60 dual desks.

It was constructed by the Ningo-Prampram District Assembly.

Mr S.A. Rhack Nartey, the District Chief Executive for the area, said the concerns of the school were dear to the heart of the Assembly, hence the commitment of resources to meet their basic needs.

“Our goal is to create a conducive teaching and learning environment for both teachers and school going children so as to promote growth and development,” he said.

Mr Nartey urged the parents and guardians to ensure that their children remained in classrooms and urged them to take keen interest in the academic performance of their wards.

He said teachers played a pivotal role in moulding the country’s future leaders and urged them to work harder to improve the educational standards in the District.

Mr Nartey appealed to the school authorities and the pupils to take good care of the infrastructure provided and urged the people in the district to maintain a healthy environment.
